Does opening a PDF change the original file?

No. Reading a PDF does not alter its contents. The Download button saves a copy of the file you selected.

Can I preview PDFs shared in a room?

When a room file supports preview, select View PDF beside it. The file owner must remain connected for a new peer-to-peer transfer.
