Edit text in a PDF while keeping the original page dimensions

Need to correct a student's name, a roll number, a spelling mistake or a short label? MallowShare lets you select a PDF text region, enter the corrected text and preview the result in place. It starts from the detected point size and style, including bold when the source font can be identified.

Match text formatting

Inspect the detected font size, then adjust the closest available font family, regular/bold/italic styling, color, and alignment. The fitting option helps shorter corrections stay within the original text box.

Keep the page dimensions

The exported page keeps its original width and height. Replacing text does not reflow the entire page, although different font metrics can change the appearance within the selected area.

Scanned PDF text

Where the local OCR engine is installed, identify approximate text locations in scanned pages. OCR accuracy depends on the scan, language, rotation and resolution. Always check the result.

Export or share

Download the whole PDF, the current edited page as PDF, PNG or JPG, or all pages as an image ZIP. You can also prepare a temporary direct-download QR or share through a room.

How it works

Go to MallowEdit PDF text editor.
Open your PDF and select an existing text segment. For scanned documents, try the OCR scanning control.
Edit the text in the formatting panel; check its detected size and bold/italic style.
Preview and adjust until the replacement fits the intended area.
Choose the export format and inspect the downloaded file before sharing.

What exact PDF editing cannot guarantee

PDF text is not a normal Word paragraph. Some files embed custom fonts, encoded glyphs, positioned letters or scanned images. MallowShare offers best-effort visual replacement—not native font editing in every PDF. Flattening a replaced page removes its original selectable text layer by rendering that page as an image; untouched pages can remain in their original form. Complex backgrounds, kerning and non-Latin text may not match perfectly. This is not a secure-redaction or certified signature tool.
