Send Anywhere, ToffeeShare or MallowShare?
There is no single best way to send every file. Sending one document to one device is different from sharing photos and notes with a whole group. Here are the main differences, with links to each provider's own documentation.
When to choose a temporary collaboration room
MallowShare is designed for live group sharing: create a short-lived room, share a QR invite, send files, notes and links, and allow everyone to download only the individual files they want. It is browser-based and does not require an account. Direct peer-to-peer connections are attempted where supported; a live sender and working network connection may be needed. Room access expires automatically.
When to choose a one-time transfer key
Send Anywhere provides a six-digit key for a direct one-time transfer, valid for ten minutes. It also documents sharing links for other workflows. This makes it a useful option if the recipient expects to type in a short code. Check the official Send Anywhere sending guide for current methods and conditions.
When to choose browser-based peer-to-peer sharing
ToffeeShare focuses on direct browser-to-browser transfers and states on its official website that it does not permanently store the shared files online. The sender needs to keep the browser open during transfer. Review the official ToffeeShare website for its current limits and privacy details.
A practical checklist before you share
- How many recipients? A one-off exchange or a multi-person room?
- What must recipients do? Type a code, scan a QR, or open a link?
- Will the sender stay connected? Live transfers depend on available devices and networks.
- Do recipients need everything? Choosing individual files can save bandwidth.
- Do you need storage? Temporary rooms are not backups or permanent cloud folders.
