Send videos and large files between devices
Sharing a video is different from sending a text message: upload speed, receiving storage, browser limits and network connection determine whether it works smoothly.
Start with a temporary room
Create a room, add the video and invite the receiver. The receiver picks that video without needing a ZIP bundle.
Calculate transfer time before you send
Use ShareFit Preflight to estimate transfer duration from your stated upload speed. Real performance may be slower due to network overhead and relay connections.
What about 2 GB videos?
A 2 GB transfer depends on browser capabilities and device storage; some mobile browsers cannot stream downloads directly to disk. A room may expire before a very slow transfer finishes.
Practical troubleshooting
Keep both devices awake, use reliable Wi-Fi, and prefer desktop Chrome/Edge for very large receiving files. If direct peer connectivity fails on a network, a TURN relay may be required.
